Price of Peace

If you want peace
Prepare for war
It won’t last long
Is what they say before

Fiery skies
And blasted land
Burning towns
And bloody sand

A price to pay
A price to owe
The tears will come
The blood will flow

A cold day dawns
Upon this hell
And on the air
Sounds a knell

How do you know
The men out there
All they ask
Is for your prayer

That they may live
And see the day
That this war ends
To see Sun’s ray

Years from now
We have returned
A soldier’s name
And life we learned

We saw the fields
Where they died
The final place
Where they reside

Why is it so
That they are gone
Do they remember
The sight of dawn
The gentle warmth
Of the sun
They never saw
The war then done

Why is that
They had to pay
With their lives
For this day

A war made of
Complete madness
The only thing
That came was sadness

All those men
That died that day
They fought for me
So now I say

No longer shall
We wage this fight
We’ll end it now
With all our might

Peace will reign
In all it’s glory
I will speak out
And tell his story

A man I never
And will not know
And who’s story
Ended long ago

I will never
In all my life forget
Not fully knowing
Is my only regret

No longer shall
The world not know
What these men did
The world I’ll show


Stand with me
And with me cry
What these men did
To the sky

If by chance
Another we teach
Then our goal
We shall reach

For if only one
Person learns
This story that
My life turned

End this madness
And all the sorrow
End the war
